My Target Audience

Who are my Target Audience?
My group and I decided our target audience would be from ages 12 upwards, So  the certificate of our film would be 12. This is becasue we wanted to target a wide range of ages so that there is an opportunity for our target audience to watch our movie, rather than limiting the amount of people who are able to watch. This also encourages all ages from 12 upwards who are interested in the genre of our movie to have the chance to view our movie. Also certificate 12 allows younger children to view our movie but only when accompanied by someone over the age of  18, this again allows our movie to be viewed by as much people as possible, which is our aim.

My group and I also 'Harry Potter and the deadly hallows part 1' and looked ot the BBFC British Board of Film Classification becuase we wanted to make sure that we picked the wirte target audience because even thought it a thriller movie there is a little bit of horror in the intorduction of are thriller movie.

The website we used ... http://www.bbfc.co.uk/classification/guidelines/12a12 as a giude because what they say for horror is

 'Moderate physical and psychological threat may be permitted, provided disturbing sequences are not frequent or sustained'.

So this is why we as a group we picked 12 to be the classification for are film.

The parts coloured in red are the answers fro each question that recieved the most scores and therefore we will consider using the answers with the highest score as a part of our film so that we are sure that our target audience of 12 years and over will be interested in our thriller movie that we would be filming.
