More Editing Techniques

Looking back at are groups music video here are some of the editing techniques we learnd and used within are 'One and Only' music video.

The other group member and I also came up with an idea where we wanted to mirror/ vertically flip an image vertically therefore we reaserched a video on Youtube and found this video which is a tutorial on how to flip images in the softwear that we are using to creat are music video which was on Adoboe Premiere Pro CS5 softwear.

Another editing technique used which the other group member and I decided was to have the split screen effect. we researched a tutorail via Youtube ad found this video to help us achcieve our idea and incorporate it onto a scene in our music video.

When we started to plan for are music video we did not expect to be using these extra editing techiques. However using these editing techiques within are music video has allowed us not only to expand are knowlage within Adoboe Premiere Pro CS5 softwear but it has also allowed are music video to look more like a profecenl music video.

Production Schedule

As we had encountered some problems during the process of our filming sessions, that were initially planned the other group member and I had to update the production schedule to show all the extra filming sessions we completed in order for our music video to be successful and close to our ideas.

Please also note:
The reason why the production schedule has been updated quite late is due to problems with the actors not being able to attend the filming sessions, planned due to their personal issues or due to my group member or myself being ill.

The other group member and I decided on number of places we could possible film some scenes for our music video, based on the type of music video we are doing. We want to make sure we portray the right location for the mood and also reflect the lyrics of the song.
Listed below are the locations we aim to use for our music video.


- Forty Hall Park (Written/ Verbal Permission from council/ park owners needed)
- St Anne's Catholic High School For Girls Hall, various corridors and Drama Room (Permission already granted)
- Family Member's House (Eloise's Sisters House)

Although we also had to bare in mind all complications that may occur while filming in these locations listed. For example, not having permission from the council or park owners therefore not being able to use the location. Also using corridors in the school because people may be walking around and may distract actors or walk into shot and at Eloise's sisters house we have to make sure that her sister grants permission for actors and myself to film in her house.

 NOTE:- Where it is in red it is also taken as a yes or/and a tick and eventhough we as a grou had permistion to film we where not alowed to take pictures.

Change in storyline idea for music video - F**kin’ Perfect by P!nk and One and Only by Adele

As the other group member and I have both decided to base our music video on the song ‘One and Only’ By Adele, although we had to change our initial storyline idea due to complications that occurred throughout the filming and actors. This led us to having to change our storyline and use the available footage we had already filmed and to incorporate the footage into a music video with an interesting storyline.
The I came up with the idea of having an actress (whom we know would be regularly available) to act as the artist (Adele) singing to the lyrics and playing the piano. So with the remaining footage that has already been filmed to be used as a reconstruction of the lyrics to One and Only.
Hence, we were inspired by this idea due to watching the music video by Pink – F**kin’ Perfect. The storyline of the music video are linked to lyrics of the song so we have decided to follow a similar storyline to the music video by P!nk.
